Last week saw the final of the 'Woollen Crufts' organised by Herne Hill Books, featuring dogs from the book Best in Show. Despite the rain judging took place outside Sharp Works and the contestants are currently on display in our window.

If you missed this there will be another chance to enter your knitted dogs at the second 'Woollen Crufts' taking place at the Brockwell Park Dog Show on Sunday 10th July. You can leave your dogs at Sharp Works or Herne Hill Books, or bring them along to the park on the day

New Lace Weight Yarns in stock!
We've recently introduced lace weight yarns from a number of suppliers.
Filatura du Crosa Lace is made from 100% merino wool and is very soft. It's available in a range of colours and there's also a Chine version that's made from two different colours of yarn spun together. Solid lace colours are £10.99 & the Chine £11.50 (100g skeins.)
Fyberspates Scrumptious Lace is made from 55% merino wool & 45% silk. Each skein is 100g and costs £13.99.
Also available is Manos del Uruguay Lace which is made from 70% baby alpaca, 25% silk & 5% cashmere. It's kettle dyed creating a subtle mixture of colours throughout each skein. Each 50g skein is £11.99
